What's here

Twelve body parts that wave, blink, wiggle, and stomp when tapped. This is head-shoulders-knees territory, and it comes with a built-in advantage no other theme has: your toddler carries the whole set with them everywhere. Tap the nose on screen, boop the nose on the face. Every word here can be practiced a hundred times a day without a screen in sight.

Meet these first

Hair, elbow, foot, and heart are waiting once these eight are old friends.

How to play (60 seconds)

The game is tap-then-touch. Your toddler taps eyes on the screen, then you both point to your own eyes and blink a big dramatic blink. Tap toes, then wiggle actual toes. Tap tummy, then give a tickle. After a few rounds, drop the screen and go straight body-to-body: "where's YOUR nose? where's MY nose?" Whispering in an ear after tapping the ear gets a giggle every time.

Good to know

Body words are usually some of the very first words toddlers understand, because they hear them constantly, at bath time, at the changing table, getting dressed. What this page adds is the fun of saying them. Pairing each word with a touch or a wiggle gives the word a physical anchor, and words a toddler's own body has acted out tend to stick better than words they only hear. It's naming in play, and the play does the heavy lifting.

Keep exploring

The free Starter Pack on the printables page has first-words cards and a 50-word checklist. Body words feature heavily on both, this is core first-vocabulary ground.

From here, feelings puts faces and expressions to work, numbers is right there once you're counting ten toes, opposites turns hands into up-and-down games, and bedtime is where tired eyes and yawning mouths end the day. The homepage has the full lineup.
