A small but strongly opinionated crew of four cats: a calico, an orange tabby, a tuxedo, and a grey cat mid-zoomie. Tap one and it naps, dashes, squats, or meows, then shares a fact that even lifelong cat owners tend not to know. This is a cozier hub than most, four characters instead of twelve, which honestly suits cats. They wouldn't want a crowd.

Meet these first

There are four, so meet them all.

• Calico Cat. Almost every calico is a girl. That orange-and-black patchwork takes two X chromosomes to paint.
• Orange Tabby. Most orange tabbies are big goofy boys, and this one is no exception.
• Tuxedo Cat. Not a breed, just a cat in black-and-white formalwear, famous for being a chatty, dramatic little boss.
• Grey Cat. That swinging belly flap is called a primordial pouch, every cat has one, and it lets a cat stretch out long and low for full-speed zoomies.

When these four run out, there's a pouncing kitten waiting over in the pets theme, and she can hear a mouse tiptoeing far away.

How to play (60 seconds)

Meow first and let your toddler copy, then play with volume: a big meow, a tiny meow, a sleepy meow. Cats are perfect for this because real ones do it too. Then find-it: "Which cat is wearing a tuxedo?" "Which one is orange?" "Which one is running fast?" If you have an actual cat in the house, end by finding its primordial pouch. The cat's enthusiasm may vary.

Good to know

"Meow" and "cat" both sit near the front of most toddlers' first words, and color words tag along free with this crew: orange, grey, black, and white are all right there on the screen. Point at the color, say it, and let them repeat whichever piece they want. That's the whole exercise.
